Fauna: The rainforest is home to a rich array of wildlife. Among the 830 species of flora and fauna, you’ll find birds, reptiles, and mammals. Birdwatchers will be delighted by the colorful avifauna, and you might even hear the melodious songs of various bird species. The reserve hosts several threatened, endangered, and rare species, including the leopard, Indian elephant, purple-faced langur, and Sri Lanka wood pigeon1.
